Correction to the April 28, 2012 Minutes in Treasurers Report:
date should read June 30th, 2012 not June 1st in regards to the
water shutoff deadline.

A motion was made to approve the Fall General Membership
Meeting 10.1.2011 minutes. Motion passed.

Old Business:
Ken's Report:
•
Ken announced a sign will be made and erected to honor LeRoy for all his
hard work and dedication for the completion of the pump house. The
installation is scheduled for the spring park cleanup.
•
Burn pile is done for the year. The Fire Department informed Ken no storm
related materials will be allowed to be burnt at a community burn site in
the future. All property owners will therefore be responsible for their own
cleanup and either hauling away of yard debris or burning on their own
property (with proper permits) in the future.
Landscaping services are reduced due to budget.
Annual spring cleanup date will be announced.

Special Committee's Report:
Policy Compliance Committee:
Letters have gone out to 2 members for by-law violations. 1 member has not
responded. The other property has been reported to Pierce County for possible
health and safety violations.
2 new volunteers have joined the committee: Karen Ekdahl and Barb Robinson.
A request for more volunteers was made.

In building the new pump house, a big thank you to Steve Stemhagen,
Kelly Cumisky, Bob Robinson, Tom Williams, Wilbur Dukes, Mike Isbell,
Mike Censky, Tyler Schneider, and Ken Brown, who all volunteered
their time and expertise.
•
The electric bill has decreased by half due to the insulation in the new
pump house.
•
The 4th of July parade will continue as will the fireworks at the beach.
Thank you to Butch Johnson and John Carey for the wonderful displays
provided in years past.
•
A sewer plant pipe on the bluff which was found to be broken was
temporarily repaired recently. A more permanent repair will be
scheduled in the future. As yet the cost is unknown.
•
LiquiVision cleaned the water tank in April. They reported
approximately 1 foot of sludge which had accumulated since the last
cleaning 1-1/2 years ago. They recommended the walls be cleaned
next time.
•
A new insurance carrier for the sewer plant was found and the cost will
be approximately $1,000.00 less per year.
•
The guest speaker Bill Van Buskirk, our Wastewater Plant operator,
was scheduled but did not arrive.
•
Motion was made and approved to close the nominations.
•
A comment was made by an owner expressing the need to raise the
annual dues.
